  I've been going to Carmines for about a year and have loved the restaurant until recently. Our regular server Nick seems to no longer be there although management refuses to confirm this. It is apparently one of those restaurants where the server makes a huge difference as to the quality of the experience. He seems to have made the difference on whether or not you get the correct order and the food is prepared correctly. He must have acted as a buffer between us and the kitchen to confirm we got what we were ordering. Since Nick's apparent departure the service has severely suffered to the point of having to search for the server in an almost empty restaurant just to get a drink refill or butter while they socialize with other employees. Food delivered by a bus boy wearing headphones while serving and giving me an argument when I tell him the order is wrong which took repeating myself numerous times. I waited almost 15 minutes just to get a manager to come to the table to inform them of the issues. In short a formerly great restaurant gone to hell.

  This is how pizza should be done !!
  If you like coal fired pizza, you will love Carmine's. The pesto n bread is very good, i like to add the fresh pesto to my pizza. Good salads too and good wine list, no cheap glasses of wine but decent. We get the carmines with sausage and basil.

  Carmine's knows how to make a quality restaurant. This one has good pizza and other Italian dishes. Out door seating can be really nice on a cool night. The joining burger restaurant makes this a good choice for a family with different tastes.

  I've been going to Carmines for several years. Our visit always starts with an "indifferent greeting". (I saw that description in another review, and it's pretty accurate.) The service is always subpar, but the food has been good enough to warrant the occasional return visit. Tonight, we received the expected service and greeting, but the food quality seems to have joined the service in the subpar category. We both had pasta dishes, and they were lackluster at best. I feel like this is our last visit to Carmines. It's almost ok to look past poor service for above average food, but it seems like the food has gone the way of the service.
